One thing that AEW is exceptional in, is the quality of the wrestling. Every wrestler in the AEW locker room displays their wide array of arsenal and potential, especially when it comes to the PPVs. Tony Khan surely knows how to book two extremely talented and experienced wrestlers against each other and give them plenty of time to showcase their exceptional talents.

But sometimes this also means that these top talents go over and beyond and end up hurting themselves. The same thing happened at this year’s big AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door event.

While he came out to the ring with his ROH entrance music, Final Countdown, Bryan Danielson, or f.k.a Daniel Bryan didn’t leave with all his bones attached. As he revealed in the media scrum for the event, the former WWE champion won’t be able to continue wrestling for the next month or two.

He said, “In this match, specifically, they think I fractured my right forearm. But talking to the doctors and I love talking to the AEW medical staff and trainers, it’s gonna be six to eight weeks for this specific injury.” While this upset fans miserably, there was one part of this match, except for the otherworldly wrestling ability, that made everyone cheer up.

As Danielson also revealed, his ROH entrance music from back in the day played as he entered the arena, but it might not be a reoccurrence. He said, “They want a zillion dollars per play. I didn’t even ask for it to be honest. Tony came up with the idea, and I thought it was really good.” But with such a talented and experienced wrestler sitting ducks, what will be the next plan for Khan?

The biggest return to AEW, just this past Saturday, was CM Punk. Punk’s recent win at Forbidden Door is a great start, but he might not be the only shocking return to wrestling Khan has in his bag. Other than that, MJF  continues to impress critics and bring entertainment to the fans, something that the champion always delivers.

According to the critics, this PPV had some of the best wrestling matches of the year. Continuing this streak is going to be difficult for Khan, but with stars like Orange Cassidy, Kenny Omega, The Elite, and others, he could bring quality to the wrestling industry once again.
