WWE is very serious about its product and the storylines they put up for every superstar and group. It is a rare occasion when WWE publicly acknowledges things and feuds done by any other wrestling companies or promotions. On the recent Premium Live Event, commentator Michael Cole went beyond the WWE fourth wall. While AJ Styles and The OC were making their entrance, he acknowledges the famous NJPW stable Bullet Club on WWE TV.
Cole said, “Finn Balor was the originator of The Bullet Club”
The reason why this is a big deal is that until now WWE called the group The Club or The OC, which is WWE’s name for the NJPW stable. The group had gone viral in the wrestling world and many fans even called it a modern-day nWo.
Finn Balor started The Bullet Club while he was wrestling as ‘Prince Devitt’ around 2013. The stable went through the leadership of many major wrestling stars, such as AJ Styles and Adam Cole.
However, the group reach its heights between 2016 to 2018, when Kenny Omega took over the leadership. The Cleaner also won the IWGP Heavyweight Title during the heights of the group. Also, later with Cody Rhodes’s involvement, there was more excitement among the fans.
