Responding to the question on how having two nights of WrestleMania has benefitted the company, Johnson said, “I think on the business side for us and our sponsors and our partners, it works out great. The economics, you hope work out well for us again. On the business side, but I think perhaps more importantly than that, is the fans get an opportunity to enjoy,” He further said, “If you will and enjoy great matches, great entertainment, and also in addition to that, we get to create more opportunities for the wrestlers and for the performers.

Dwayne Johnson, who was recently appointed as one of the board members of the TKO Group, indicated that extending WrestleMania to two nights has been beneficial for major stakeholders of the business. The decision was taken by WWE a few years ago, as per the wish of former boss Vince McMahon.

The owners got an opportunity to bring in more sponsors, which meant more money. The crowd will have more matches, which means more entertainment for them. The Rock also explained that having more matches was also good for performers as they would get more opportunities to perform at the grandest stage of wrestling.

However, the statement is contradictory to what WWE has been doing as The Bloodline received opportunities to headline WrestleMania last year. While Roman Reigns headlined Night 2, The Usos headlined Night 1. This year too, rumors suggest that The Bloodline will have a similar storyline. While Roman Reigns is expected to fight Cody Rhodes on Night 2, speculations are that a tag team match between The Rock & Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins may headline Night 1.
