Could the Appearance of NXT UK’s Imperium Mean Big Things for NXT?

WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch went up against Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher at NXT: March 3, 2021. However, Ciampa and Thatcher were distracted with NXT UK faction Imperium appearing inside the ring, and they couldn’t secure the victory.

Now, the question remains – Why did Imperium appear on WWE NXT?

First, let’s think about the Superstars working in the stable. They are WALTER, Alexander Wolfe, Marcel Barthel, and Fabian Aichner.

Imperium appearing on NXT teases the fact that WALTER might want to establish his dominance on NXT after conquering NXT UK. Even though he has already captured titles in England, Germany, Ireland, and the United States, it’s possible he wants to capture the biggest audience possible.

Of course, he will meet with the forces that rule the Black and Gold brand currently. However, whether it’s Finn Balor or Adam Cole, WALTER is an unstoppable Superstar who is probably preparing to rule NXT with his Imperium soldiers by his side.

What happens if Imperium comes to WWE NXT?

Coming to the stable, if Imperium comes to NXT from NXT UK, they will most probably stick to the tag team championships, considering WALTER will try to be the NXT Champion.

In fact, Imperium might replicate The Hurt Business from WWE Raw which comprises the WWE Raw Tag Team
Champions, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander, and the WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley.

Similarly, Imperium might look to secure all the titles that dominate NXT.

Imperium collided with the Undisputed Era

Previously, Imperium collided with the Undisputed Era at Worlds Collide.

This match came after WALTER had just retained the WWE NXT UK Championship. He was standing in the ring with the rest of the stable when the Undisputed Era intervened and started taking down the Imperium members.

In the match, Imperium defeated the Undisputed Era. They earned bragging rights and unlocked a new level of respect for themselves within the WWE Universe.

At that point, these two stables were the top ones in WWE. However, recently, the Undisputed Era broke after Adam Cole turned on Kyle O’Reilly. Therefore, if Imperium tries to overtake NXT as a stable, there are very few NXT Superstars that would be able to counter them.

Superstars individually can try to stop the NXT UK faction from taking over, but it’ll be difficult.
