There is nothing quite like a surprise entry at the Royal Rumble. The atmosphere changes as the countdown from 10 begins. Fans in the stadium and around the world patiently wait to see what music plays and which superstar is coming out. This could be someone they were expecting, a returning star, or someone ready to make their debut.

The Rumble has been home to some surprise, roof-exploding entries over the years. This year, one star believes he can do the same at the #10 spot. As you know, the Rumble consists of 30 superstars all fighting for the chance to headline WrestleMania, so why the #10 spot? Shouldn’t they come out later?

Shawn Spears sends out a cryptic #10 ahead of the WWE Royal Rumble

Shawn Spears, a.k.a Tye Dillinger, was best known in the WWE for his “The Perfect 10” gimmick. He was a favorite among fans who could not stop chanting “10” at the star. The number became synonymous with him. As such, his one word response to a tweet about the upcoming Royal Rumble has sparked the interest of fans.

Dillinger, like all great WWE stars, began his career in OVW in 2006. He later moved up to ECW between 2008 and 2009. However, he would be released in 2009 to try his hand at the independent circuits.

In 2013, he made his return to the WWE in NXT, where he gained a massive fan following. He made his main roster debut representing SmackDown at the 2017 Royal Rumble at the #10 spot. Despite getting eliminated, he would remain with the WWE till 2019.

Shawn Spears joined AEW in 2019 but left the promotion earlier this month, making a Royal Rumble return certainly possible. On social media, he put up #10, which drove fans crazy. Many are expecting him to recreate his 2017 Royal Rumble entry once more this year. Fans blew the roof off when his music hit and are expected to do the same again.

Fans went wild for Tye Dillinger’s return

Fans who loved Dillinger in the WWE went crazy as they remember his 2017 main roster debut. Taking to social media, they were quick to voice their opinions on the matter.

While many could not believe it, some didn’t want to get their hopes up. Here are a few reactions.

They want him back with his iconic theme song “Ten”.

Many want history to repeat itself and are making #10 a thing on Twitter.

Certain fans thought April Fool’s had come early this year.

Looking at CM Punk and Cody Rhodes, they believe a second run in the WWE will be much better for the Canadian wrestler.

Hardcore fans are super excited about this.
