Kurt Angle is considered as a wrestling god in the pro-wrestling business and a bona fide GOAT of WWE and TNA/Impact Wrestling. After retirement, he is involved in running a podcast under his name. WWE announcer Cory Graves was invited to The Kurt Angle Show which premiered on YouTube on November 5th. In the podcast, Cory Graves discussed an infamous storyline that involved him with the Olympian.

He revealed that there was a lack of clarity when a segment took place between them. The backstage segment revolved around a big secret that was related to Kurt Angle before the storyline fell flat.

After an eventful career outside of WWE, Angle returned to WWE in 2017. He was a superstar who helped build TNA as a major rival to WWE, at one point holding all of the Championships. But, when he came back to WWE, he was positioned in a role of General Manager.

Fightful Wrestling posted a picture of Kurt Angle with WWE announcer Cory Graves on November 7th on X with the caption, “Corey Graves: If You Handed Me A Million Dollars, I Couldn’t Tell You The Info I Had On Kurt Angle In 2017”.

The picture is from a segment involving Cory Graves and Kurt Angle, who was acting as the General Manager of RAW at the time. Angle was back to WWE after a gap of over 10 years in 2017. The statement in the tweet was a reference to the infamous storyline involving Jason Jordan and Kurt Angle.

As per the storyline, Jason Jordan was revealed to be Kurt Angle’s illegal son which Angle was not aware of. However, the storyline was immediately dropped due to the medical condition of Jason Jordan, who works as a producer now. But what happened to Kurt Angle after that?

Kurt Angle could not wait for a poetic ending

Kurt Angle was immediately drafted into a storyline against an upcoming talent in Baron Corbin. The lonewolf was a prominent performer in the NXT brand and was chosen for the retirement match for Angle.

However, Vince McMahon wanted John Cena to face Kurt Angle for his retirement match. But, John Cena was already a part-timer and didn’t feature in any match at WrestleMania and Angle was in a hurry to retire. It would have been a poetic ending for Angle as he was Cena’s first rival on TV programs in 2002.
