It is undeniable that Bad Bunny is one of the biggest stars in the world right now. Not only did he blow the roof at Coachella, and stunned everyone with his backless suit at the Met Gala, but also shocked everyone at WWE Backlash. Not to mention that he did all of this in just a few weeks. Bunny is conquering the world and wrestling is just another part of it.

For his first episode back from Puerto Rico, Corey Graves didn’t even wait for a second to share his experience. Just a minute in his podcast, After the Bell, Carmella’s husband talked about the amazing audience that was Puerto Rico. But Graves didn’t stop at praising Bunny only, he made sure to highlight the work Damien Priest did as well in one of the best matches on the PLE.

While explaining his experience, he said, “Bad Bunny’s entrance was one of the most incredible things that I’ve ever experienced in my life. Being in the arena and hearing 8,000-plus scream every word to his entrance music. Bad Bunny is one of, if not the biggest, stars in the entertainment space right now. I think this would be more similar to having someone the caliber of Michael Jackson or Beyonce.

Comparing someone to Beyonce and Michael Jackson is the highest degree of praise that a person can give to an entertainer. These artists have sold out arenas and stadiums countless times, and they have an aura that radiates passion and charisma. Bunny’s performance and presence made Graves think of this when he made 8000+ people sing his entrance music, but that’s not where it ends.

Talking about the match, Graves also pointed out that it wasn’t a long-term plan, something that we covered before. Interestingly, WWE had counted on this being a tag team match with Rey Mysterio and Bunny against Dominik Mysterio and Priest. But we are glad with the match that we got because it shocked every single one watching.

Looking at the history of celebrity wrestlers in WWE, there haven’t been many who stand out. Apart from Logan Paul and Johnny Knoxville at their WrestleMania matches, there haven’t been many who stood out in wrestling matches. So, Bad Bunny’s hardcore street fight with Damien Priest caught everyone off guard.

Not only were there kendo sticks and steel chairs, but Bunny went through tables outside as well. Coupled with many surprise returns to WWE and the energetic Puerto Rican crowd made for one of the best WWE matches of the year.
