One of the biggest Premium Live Events of WWE, Crown Jewel, is on the horizon. The event has a pretty stacked-up match card with many stars facing each other. The main event is LA Knight taking on Roman Reigns and is one of the most anticipated fights of the year. The stakes are high, as Knight is very close to becoming the next Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. 

But with these high stakes comes nervousness. In an interview ahead of his fight, the 41-year-old star talked about what is going on in his mind.

LA Knight is cool on the surface

On the latest episode of WWE The Bump, Kayla Braxton asked the rising star of SmackDown what’s going on inside his head ahead of the biggest fight of the year. Braxton highlighted that fans have always seen a cool, calm, and composed LA Knight before every match, so is he still calm and composed ahead of this match? The Defiant One said, “Well cool on the surface but any range of bubbling happening inside this head at any given moment.” Knight then candidly opened up about all the emotions inside him.

He believes that this feeling might be out of frustration.“There is a lot of frustration with this road taken to get here.” Knight said that along with that frustration, there is a bit of resentment and happiness too. He then talked about what he would be doing with the bottled-up cocktail of emotions inside him. “But with all that anger, all that frustration, all that resentment, and even with that little bit of happiness, I am gonna walk in and take every bit of it out on Roman Reigns.” This shows that even though the star is nervous, he knows how to take out those emotions in his own way.

The main-event match is one of the biggest bouts fans might have experienced in 2023. After almost 1,200 days, fans believe that there is a worthy contender to stand against Roman Reigns. But are the odds in LA Knight’s favor?

Will LA Knight dethrone Roman Reigns?

After his run as Max Dupri on SmackDown, he was reintroduced under a new guise as LA Knight. Since then, he has garnered a lot of popularity which kick-started the “YEAH!!” movement. Somewhere along the line, he got entangled in The Bloodline’s business and now is at odds with them, especially Roman Reigns. The star is full of confidence, making him a worthy opponent to The Tribal Chief. But his odds of winning are still pretty slim. Something similar had happened with Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare has turned into a megastar in his second run with WWE.

At WrestleMania 39, he faced a formidable foe in the form of Roman Reigns. Rhodes gave his best fight, but due to an interruption caused by Solo Sikoa, he missed the title. The same might happen with LA Knight. Knight might face interruption during the match. But as John Cena has been backing him for a long time, chances are he might be available there to fend off The Bloodline. Apart from that, Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn will be present at the venue for their respective fights. The two might also enter to have Knight’s back.
