As anticipation mounts for WrestleMania 40, Paul prepares to make his final title defense before the grand event. This Friday on SmackDown, the Maverick will meet his next challenger for the United States Championship.

Paul is set to defend the championship at WrestleMania 40, but he has been in the news lately for his support of a matchup between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. Adding even more potential fire to his simmering rivalry with Dwayne Johnson.

Logan Paul commented on Cody Rhodes’ choice to confront Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 after tonight’s opening ceremony. The WWE United States Champion responded to the news by sharing a video of himself watching the episode. He was also offering comments on social media. Paul, who was thrilled by Rhodes’s decision, encouraged him throughout his verbal altercation with Reigns and The Rock by yelling, “Cook Cody! Cook!” The former AEW star highlighted Reigns’ and The Rock’s lack of recent success, casting doubt on the importance of their rivalry for the title of “Head of the Table.”

Nevertheless, it’s pertinent to mention that Paul also had a beef with The Rock after he broke off all contact with The Maverick during his controversial moment on YouTube. Logan Paul had taken to an interview with John Cena to address the fallout too. Now he and Kevin Owens are still at odds, even though Paul does not yet have a definite opponent for WrestleMania 40. Likewise, there isn’t a clear opponent for WWE champion Seth Rollins.

Triple H formally acknowledged Rhodes’s choice, allowing him to retake The Rock’s position as the WrestleMania main event participant.
