If there is one thing that could define why Dwayne Johnson has succeeded in Hollywood, it would be his action scenes. His wrestling career, combined with his intensive workouts have sculpted an image of Johnson that only giant beefy men in Hollywood can rival. Nothing emphasizes this fact more than in his work in the Fast and Furious movies.
There was a report that made it clear that stars like Johnson have it clear in their contracts about how they will come off in the movie. From the punches to the kicks to their scenes, everything is presented in a way to show the actor in a brighter light. So what’s the actual truth of working with Johnson in action scenes?

His co-star from ‘Hobbs and Shaw’, praises Dwayne Johnson
The Fast era with DJ, Vin Diesel and Jason Statham was fascinating for the fans. Even more intriguing was the fact all three mega stars were reported to be contractually obligated to not lose any fights. In an interview with Jimmy Norton and Sam Roberts, they asked Jason Statham about his action scenes with Johnson. This was back in 2017 when Fate of the Furious was about to come out.
Statham revealed the mistakes by other action stars don’t plague Johnson as he has a varied background in WWE and other sports as well.

About working with him, he said, “He’s so cool to do an action sequence with because he’s such a physical sort of expert in what he does, he moves fluidly. Got a great sort of judgment of time and space, so he’s not going to whack you in the head by mistake, which is a godsend. Extremely precise and he’s just so relaxed. Just a diamond to work with. He’s a 10 out of 10.”

Seeing that this was back in 2017, Statham got to work with Johnson after the Fate of the Furious as well. Starring in the main role in the spin-off movie, Hobbs and Shaw, the action sequences between Statham and Johnson stole the show once again. We hope that we can see a sequel to that movie in the future. But seeing the path moving forward, it seems a bit wobbly at the moment.
Could we see The Rock in another Fast and the Furious movie?
Jason Statham is coming to our screens along with many other A-listers including Vin Diesel, who isn’t on friendly terms with Johnson anymore. They’re coming back to our big screens in Fast X. But that isn’t all. In their CinemaCon presentation, the producers announced that Fast X part 2 is also coming out in 2025.

So, seeing that two movies are already in the pipeline for the main franchise, hope for the spin-off involving The Rock seems thin. But we wouldn’t lose our hope in Johnson as his commitment to fulfilling fans’ wishes is as strong as his enormous arms.
