Vince McMahon is going through a roller coaster ride as of now. While WWE has completed its historic merger with Endeavor to form TKO holdings, his legal troubles have not ceased. Even though he has been elevated to the top of the newly listed company, there is a chance that he might lose his position soon.

Meanwhile, along with corporate issues, McMahon is also suffering from health issues. After undergoing a major spinal surgery in July earlier this year, he has come out safely but not without certain damages to his fitness.

WWE executives had a meeting in their headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. The meeting occurred after the immediate effects of the WWE-UFC merger took place. As expected, UFC’s parent company laid off over 100 WWE employees as a form of cost-cutting and restructuring. But fans took note of a more worrying sign for McMahon, who has been a physically intimidating man throughout his life.

According to PWInsider, it was evident during the meeting that former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon used a cane to walk up to the stage. It is not surprising as he is 78 years old and has taken part in many wrestling segments during his 40-year career at the promotion. Taking on wrestling moves and bumps on his body has taken its toll, and he had to undergo spinal surgery, specifically lumbar decompression and fusion, in New York City.

However, the surgery has not deterred his attitude, which made him famous across the wrestling universe. After coming onto the stage, he did not receive a large applause to which he responded by saying, “I’m Vince McMahon, damn it. This is when you are supposed to clap.” When everyone started clapping, he said, “You’re learning.” It reminded everyone that he still has his sense of humor.

But, it’s still clear to see that the WWE bigwig is struggling.

Vince McMahon has more troubles than just his poor health

Hidden behind his humor is McMahon’s list of legal troubles. This might see him relinquish his recently acquired throne as executive chairman of TKO Group Holdings. It is believed that the listed company does not want McMahon’s negative publicity to have an impact on their listings. The risks of having him on board will impact the business financially and operationally. Apart from this, the WWE bigwig had been under investigation and the subject of several allegations. With the new merger taking place, it could mean that McMahon’s standing as the executive chairman is becoming shaky.

Meanwhile, WWE’s list of released superstars has once again shocked many fans. A total of nine superstars were released including Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler, Riddick Moss, Shelton Benjamin, Aliyah, and Top Dolla.  This has also led to criticism, especially against McMahon and Triple H for sacrificing many from their roster.

The lack of applause for McMahon during the meeting also implies that WWE employees are also not thrilled about him. What do you think of McMahon’s future? Is he likely to stick out a bad reputation to stay on top, or will he come crashing down?
