Since Shawn Michaels took over NXT, many female superstars have flourished under his leadership. This has surely strengthened the women’s division. In a recent Twitter video uploaded on X, Shawn Michaels can be seen greeting NXT stars backstage. And one star who came to get a photo with the Heartbreak Kid was Sexyy Red. But while she was coming toward the WWE legend, he could be heard saying “Come to Daddy, Sugar.” The actual words were misquoted in the caption of the post as the social media handle thought he said, “Come to Sugar Daddy”.

But no matter what the phrase might be, both sentences seem awkward to use. However, it seemed like Sexyy Red did not mind Michaels calling her like this. So maybe this is how they often greet each other backstage. Especially since the rapper made her explosive debut on a Tuesday night getting herself involved with superstar Tatum Paxley. Nevertheless, Sexxy Red is known for being funny and equally bold as a personality. Whereas the Heartbreak Kid is known for being, well, the Heartbreak Kid. And he often uses such lingos, in fact, it was even a part of his gimmick. But when it comes to business, he remains a thorough professional.

Natalya praises Michaels for his stunning work for “building” the foundations for women in NXT

During a recent interview with The Wrestling Classic, Natalya, who has been working in NXT for the past few months, praised Shawn Michaels for the excellent work he has been doing. Natalya highlighted that the future was bright for the women’s division of WWE due to the healthy number of committed and motivated superstars coming up via the pipeline. “I said the other day to Shawn Michaels, I said I can’t believe how many women are used on the show, like 18 women are used on the show every week, and not only are they used on the show, they’re building characters, they’re in storylines, and they’re thriving, they’re excited, they’re challenged, they’re motivated, they’re driven, they’re hungry. You watch them, from week-to-week, grow.”

She further added, “What excites me about wrestling is what Shawn Michaels is doing with talent at NXT is helping them grow, he’s helping them evolve, he’s helping them build characters and stories.” When you have characters and you have stories, it’s what gets people excited about watching a match. We were able to do promos and we were able to build this match through stories, and I just love it. I really admire what Shawn has done down there, as far as cultivating that and building it.”

Well, it surely looks like Michaels is doing a great job in NXT. So maybe he likes being all corporate when it comes to business but maintains a different bond backstage.
