Ever since Cody Rhodes returned to the WWE, he has been placed as a main eventer in the company, a position distant from his previous stint. Within 18 months of his return, he won the Royal Rumble, headlined WrestleMania Night 2, and fought Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, and Roman Reigns. He is also the best merchandise seller with a fan-favorite entrance song.

One might wonder what else Cody Rhodes could have asked for in the biggest wrestling company in the world. But Rhodes revealed one thing he misses at WWE from his previous employer.

Cody Rhodes had an office where no business was done

In the podcast, ‘WWE: After The Bell’ Podcast that premiered on WWE Network on 28 August, he talked to Kevin Patrick and WWE commentator Corey Graves. The American Nightmare revealed how Tony Khan provided him with a personal space to be used as his office.

Rhodes stated, “I think the only thing I miss, and I have said this before, is I had an office. In every building I had an office and in that office was some of the most fun. No business was being done.” Rhodes clarified that he is content at WWE at the moment but an office is the only thing he misses. He has had an office for every event he was in previously, even though most of the time it was for fun gatherings with friends.

 

He further said, “Maybe 5% business, and probably Brandi was the one who was doing in the business. The other 95% of it was me and my buddies, me and new buddies, new people coming in hiding people in there every week.

As per Cody Rhodes, his wife Brandi Rhodes would often use the space for business purposes. But he would spend most of the time hanging out with his friends. He would often have new visitors coming in every week. Despite the lack of personal office, Rhodes was high on praise for WWE.

The American Nightmare was high on praise for WWE. In the interview, he said, “It’s a well-oiled machine [WWE].” He further explained how his control freak nature seems tailor-made for WWE. It is evident from his American Nightmare gimmick where the copyright of the character is with Cody Rhodes including his famous entrance song.
