Ever since he joined the TKO Board of Directors, Dwayne Johnson has been making and breaking rules on his own. After Cody Rhodes didn’t let him have the match against his Samoan cousin, Johnson has been trying to find ways to sabotage their match at WrestleMania 40. One of the ways that he plans to do so is by legalizing interference.
Johnson put forth the condition that if Rhodes and his partner lose in a tag team match against The Rock and his cousin, ‘Bloodline rules’ will be applied on the second night of Mania. But it may not be the best course of action.

In a recent live stream, Bryan Alvarez and Mike Sempervive from Wrestling Observer sat down to talk about various topics on the show. One of the co-hosts talked about the upcoming WWE PLE. This started a conversation about the ‘Bloodline rules’ that Bryan Alvarez doesn’t want to be applied to the main event of the second night.
The co-host said, “I mean, it’s just one of those things that you just can’t get past all the logic holes that will inherently be there. ‘They can do whatever they want.’ Well, why don’t they rule that Cody can only win if he gets a pinfall on the moon?” Alvarez further added, “Why wouldn’t they say ‘Bloodline rules, Cody needs to win by 40 counts’? I mean, it’s just stupid.”
According to the reporter, the rules don’t make sense because they are very specific. The rules talk about something that The Bloodline has already been doing for quite some time. So, Alvarez wishes to not have these ‘rules’ for the main event of WrestleMania XL.
The road leading to the match that will decide ‘Bloodline rules’ is already pretty dramatic.

Cody Rhodes had to receive a slap from The People’s Champion to mark the beginning of the ongoing feud this year. However, he returned it when he received the first opportunity. Johnson had announced that there has to be a tag team match including Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, against DJ and Roman Reigns. This would determine whether ‘Bloodline rules’ will prevail.
When The American Nightmare was at SmackDown to accept the same, he first had to receive some callout from Dwayne Johnson. Things turned around, leading Rhodes to slap his boss, returning the karma.
Even after the slap, the babyfaces could be seen celebrating the moment.
