Cody Rhodes finished his story at WrestleMania XL exactly one year later, as many fans had demanded and predicted. Despite the prediction, the story had bumps along the way, making the ending all the more satisfying. As the superstar continues on his journey as a babyface in the promotion, there are rising claims about how great he is at his job.
In a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about this unique skill that Rhodes has that even John Cena lacks when it comes to his wrestling career.

John Cena is often claimed to be the ‘best’ babyface of all time in WWE. However, Dave Meltzer believes that he is not like Cody Rhodes when it comes to promo delivery. Keeping his most recent promo in mind on Raw after Mania, the industry insider revealed his thoughts on Cody Rhodes. Dave Meltzer said, “It’s just, his ability to do a promo, it is an effective promo. But it’s a different and effective promo than most of your great babyface stars. It’s like, you know, John Cena is nothing like this. Roman Reigns, when they tried to make him a babyface, was nothing like this. Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Brock [Lesnar], none of them are anything like him. I mean he’s a unique character but he’s an effective as h**l character”
While many fans support Cody Rhodes in his journey of outdoing himself, not a lot of them would support Meltzer’s view. Maybe sometime in the future, we will see a face-off between the two babyfaces to determine who is the better one in the ring.
However, for now, the more pressing concern at hand is what The American Nightmare would have to endure following his segment on Monday Night Raw alongside The Rock.

Will John Cena come to save Cody Rhodes again?
On Monday Night Raw 04/08, Cody Rhodes showed up to address the new phase in his life. Eventually, Dwayne Johnson interfered in his promo to talk to him one-on-one publicly, in the middle of the arena. He hands him something interesting and goes on to warn him that their story has just begun.
Although we don’t yet know what he meant by this, there’s a possibility that The Cenation Leader may have to save Cody Rhodes again somewhere down the line. At Mania, he returned to save the babyface from The Bloodline and their unfair rules. This revived an old feud between them that might reach a climax later this year.
