Roman Reigns, with an impressive reign of over 1240 days as champion, faces a new challenge at WrestleMania 40 against Dwayne Johnson instead of Cody Rhodes. Meanwhile, Rhodes is set to clash with Seth Rollins after CM Punk‘s injury. Despite achieving top-dog status along with Reigns, The Visionary doesn’t hold any respect for his fellow champion as he launched a tirade against The Tribal Chief.
In a recent interview, Seth Rollins made some hard-hitting comments against the Universal Champion ahead of the WrestleMania kickoff face-off event with Johnson.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins joined The Rich Eisen Show to discuss WrestleMania 40. Known for its blend of sports expertise and pop culture, this attracts top names in sports and entertainment. The World Heavyweight champion acknowledges the evolving significance of the championship picture. But he questioned Roman Reigns for elevating its status as the pinnacle title in WWE. However, as per him, the significance of that title has diminished, largely due to Roman Reigns. He said, “I understand that, but that title doesn’t mean what it once did. Roman Reigns has ruined that title.”
The Raw star suggested that The Tribal Chief operating on his own time acts as the major hindrance to the lessening prestige of the title. He stated, “Roman Reigns operates on his own schedule, believing it adds prestige to the title. But the issue is, that Reigns’ absence means the title isn’t accessible, creating a glass ceiling… Reigns has diminished the significance of the title.” Rollins’ point holds credence as The Visionary has achieved more significant title defenses in a shorter period with the Universal champion’s title reign now receiving some backlash from fans due to his inactivity.
Seth Rollins also revealed how he built up his title organically while the prestige that comes with The Tribal Chief’s title reign is waning.
Rollins calls out Reigns by saying, “I built this up from nothing”
In the same interview, Rollins talks about his journey with his belt calling Reigns’ title a prop. He said, “It’s as close to a prop as you can call it….” He did not mince his words as he played down the achievements of The Tribal Chief. He offered a contrasting view as to why his reign emerges supreme now.

Rollins said, “I took it everywhere. I defended it all over the place. And made sure that it was present. I made sure that it was on Raw, it was on SmackDown. Then made sure that other people had an opportunity at that title. And he has kind of demeaned the title so much that it just doesn’t mean what this one means. Man, I built this one up from nothing, from scratch.” Rollins emphasized that during his reigns as World Heavyweight Champion, he ensured the title was defended and presented across various platforms.
