SmackDown after WrestleMania descended upon the Little Casers Arena in Detroit, Michigan tonight featuring Cody Rhodes as the new top dog of the business. Rhodes showed up on the stage in the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion-esque, marking his second appearance on TV since winning the coveted title.
The American Nightmare was clearly overwhelmed by the massive pop and asked the Detroit crowd to suggest something to talk about. Apart from referencing The Rock treatment from the previous weeks, Rhodes ended up dropping a surprising tease about his wife, Brandi Rhodes, in between his intriguing promo.

Brandi Rhodes, 40, hasn’t been inside a wrestling ring since January 2022. She purposely didn’t follow in his husband’s footsteps to fulfill her homemaker’s duty with greater emphasis and also to manage her own yoga and pilates studio. Despite the wild rampant rumors, Brandi Rhodes’ recent WrestleMania cheers had nothing to do with WWE re-signing. But it seems all the hope hasn’t yet been lost. Cody Rhodes referenced Brandi’s infamous open mic night quote from her 3-year-old AEW feud with Jade Cargill, which was clearly indicative of something fishy. He noted, ”Who the hell told you tonight was open mic night…bitch.”

Does that mean a Cody Rhodes-Brandy Rhodes reunion in the WWE ring looming large? only time will unfold the rest.
Brandi Rhodes used a similar phrase in response to Cody Rhodes slapping The Rock on a past episode of SmackDown.
Brandi Rhodes made another open mic night’ reference to endorse his husband’s anti-The Rock antics
Cody Rhodes’ Road to WrestleMania has mostly been spent trading barbs with The Rock. Ever since The Great One returned to the Stamford-based company to get on the nerves of Cody Rhodes, The American Nightmare had been on the edge of his seat. From taking taunts about his family to bleeding brutally backstage, the 38-year-old has had enough. In one such derogatory segment, The Rock shut him up with a slap. Despite the initial subdue, Rhodes returned the favors days later on another weekly show. And his wife, Brandi Rhodes, couldn’t be more happy about it.
