Dwayne Johnson shocked the pro wrestling world earlier today, as he walked inside the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, to be a part of a WWE show after four years. But hours before his earth-shattering return, Johnson had already made the headlines with a comment. The 51-year-old, having confirmed that he missed a match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, offered to make up for it in Philadelphia, the host city of WrestleMania next year.

While this will no doubt make his fans and a large section of wrestling enthusiasts happy, it didn’t go down well with Cody Rhodes’ sister. But why?

Teil Rhodes, The American Nightmare’s sister, has been vocal on social media about issues pertaining to her brother. Be it his loss against Reigns at the SoFi stadium, or Rhodes missing out from the top five of a prestigious list, Teil Rhodes has had her say.

Shortly after Johnson stated his WrestleMania 40 aspirations during a chat with Pat McAfee, Dusty Rhodes’ daughter tweeted: “Looks like I should have saved my wrestling twitter outrage for today 😉😘.” This is a dig at Johnson, whose challenge could potentially see the WWE sidelining Cody Rhodes’ dream of a re-match against Reigns, by giving The Rock what he wants- a match with The Tribal Chief.

Teil Rhodes also referred to the tweets she had posted a day ago, as PWI announced its top 500 wrestlers for this year. While Cody Rhodes made the list, he was placed at number 10. The list was headed by Seth Rollins, one of Rhodes’ arch-rivals. Roman Reigns and Jon Moxley made the top three.

Seeing her brother not making it to the top hurt Rhodes, who launched a tirade against the outlet. That said, Teil also used a wink and a kiss emoji to state that she made the tweet in jest. After all, she, like many, has grown up watching The Great One enthrall the crowd.
