Cody Rhodes’ Secret Proposal for John Cena Following Their Passing of the Torch Moment Is Now Public

It is always a massive moment for the entire WWE Universe when two of the celebrated names of the promotion shares a heart-touching moment. One such recent visual was witnessed by the fans when Cody Rhodes engaged with John Cena in the passing of the torch moment. Fans were delighted at this sight, but what they missed was a small yet thrilling conversation between the two. 

The March 6 episode of WWE RAW was revolutionary in itself, as it gave the audience a visual to remember forever. The reunion of arguably the two legends of the roster let fans see an exchange of hugs between the two. During this, The People’s Champ shared a 5-word message to the next face of the WWE. They also had a little conversation that Rhodes revealed recently.

Speaking on Stadium Astro, The American Nightmare was asked to share the best advice he received from Cena in his career. While answering this, Rhodes mentioned it happened in 2008-2009 when he was driving The Face of the WWE in his car. However, the topic soon deviated to their interaction on Monday Night Raw.

The Prince of Pro Wrestling then threw some light on their actual conversation from the night. He said, “What he said to me on Raw was, I was telling him if he ever does another match, I would like [to work with him], and I think you could hear him pretty well. He says, ‘I can’t promise that.’”

“I also didn’t want to make it about myself at that moment, so I just endlessly thanked him, and then he was at the Nightmare Factory a week later talking to our students,” Rhodes added. 

This must have already ignited excitement in every fan’s heart. Even though Cena didn’t promise to make their partnership happen, the satisfying feeling of the sent proposal is enough for the fans to get delighted.

After publicizing his proposal to Cena, the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble winner continued to explain how The Champ literally follows what he preaches.

There have been several instances of live events and television tapings when Rhodes quoted Cena’s phrase of “reward their noise.” This time as well, he did the same. However, he also attached an explanation with it that showed how The Prototype follows his own advice. 

The 37-year-old then emphasized how Cena genuinely approaches live events and shows. He goes after what he believes while rewarding the noises. Rhodes then also mentioned how The Cenation Leader always does something for the audience in order to make them believe that if they would do something, he is up for them. 

This was again one of those teachings that a wrestler should take with them. And as Cody Rhodes always talks about these, it seems like he tries to apply them in his life as well.
