Since Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso left WWE programming last April, The Bloodline has changed radically. Solo Sikoa assumed the role of ‘Tribal Chief’ and added Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa to his squad, with Paul Heyman being left out after he demonstrated his loyalty to Reigns over Sikoa.

This Saturday, at SummerSlam, the most important night of Solo Sikoa’s career came. He fought Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a ‘Bloodline Rules Match’. This meant that Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa could intervene. Although Randy Orton and Kevin Owens appeared to help Rhodes, the big moment came when Roman Reigns’ music played and he appeared to hit a Superman punch and a spear to Solo Sikoa, leaving him at the mercy of Rhodes, who finished Sikoa off with a CrossRhodes while staring at Reigns to retain the title.

This led a reporter to ask for an update on the feud between the Tribal Chief and the American Nightmare and when can fans expect a rematch. So after months of waiting, with the return, we finally have an update on the feud as Rhodes himself has answered the question that hints at a third match. He said, “This current WWE landscape, you can’t call it. We just had a behind-the-scenes documentary on how the best-laid plans can just go to hell in one moment. Because it’s just the kind of controlled chaos where these beautiful things happen.”

He further added, “I don’t know in terms of, certainly Roman Reigns is entitled to not just a rematch, I mean Roman Reigns held this title for so long. That match, it has to happen. And it’s one of those where to a degree it’s rather, you know you’re not supposed to say this when you’re a babyface, but its rather scary. The idea. I’ve been there twice with him and brother hits hard. So the idea that is there. To do, you know, I don’t know if anyone saw but I was tapping the title like this (taps on his title with three fingers) because I know there is a third one somewhere down the line.”

This situation looks intense from Reigns’ side as well, since even after he left the ring after attacking Solo Sikoa and staring at Cody Rhodes, he continued to do so once the match was over. The Undisputed WWE Champion was not intimidated and held Reigns’ gaze until he left. With the return of the original Tribal Chief, the situation of The Bloodline takes an important turn again and we will see what happens in the coming weeks. But while the WWE Universe is awaiting the fight between the two superstars, there is another veteran who would like a rematch with the returning Reigns.

Goldberg believes his last fight against Roman Reigns was a favor

During Elimination Chamber 2022, Goldberg faced Roman Reigns in a match for the WWE Universal Championship. This match marked the end of Goldberg’s WWE career, as his contract expired shortly after and he did not wrestle for the company again, despite his desire to have one last match. During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Goldberg revealed some details about his Elimination Chamber 2022 fight against Roman Reigns.

He confirmed that he had suffered from COVID-19 in the previous weeks, which affected his performance. In addition, he mentioned that he felt that he was doing The Tribal Chief a favor by facing him at that point in his reign, a favor that WWE never reciprocated. He said, “No it sucks, I had f**king COVID three weeks before I was asked to do it. It was horrible. No, it was a favor. “It was my job, I’m not gonna say no, I’ve never said no really. I was asked to wrestle twice a year, and they were caught between a rock and a hard place and I was their answer.”

Goldberg acknowledged that, after he departed from WWE, he tried to convince Vince McMahon for one last match and have a dignified retirement. Something that never materialized. This situation has left him with a feeling of annoyance towards the company for how he was treated in his last days. So maybe the WWE veteran can return demanding a rematch again. What do you think?
