After facing huge criticism and backlash from fans, WWE finally pulled the trigger on pushing Cody Rhodes back to the WrestleMania main event picture. Though, the fans will miss The Rock vs. Roman Reigns as a result, wrestling fans across the world are excited to witness the WrestleMania 39 main event rematch.
The craze for The American Dream storyline is so high that it has taken over the aura of The Rock in the betting world. Despite facing an uphill task against undefeated champion Roman Reigns and his allies from The Bloodline, Cody Rhodes is favorite to win the bout. The numbers from major betting sites prove it as well. As per Betonline, Cody Rhodes has an odd of -700 or 1/7 in his favor while Roman Reigns is at +400 or 4/1 for the match.
Although Roman Reigns moving as an underdog sounds a bit odd, it made sense given how Rhodes’ sheer drive for finishing the story has been tasted so far.
However, WWE veteran Bully Ray had a different prediction about the upcoming Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns.
Bully Ray pointed out a viable scenario of Cody Rhodes’ defeat
On a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray addressed the most talked about dynamic of Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes WrestleMania 40 main event but in a different light. He believes there is an ample possibility of Seth Rollins screwing Rhodes over, leading to his clean defeat. Analyzing the potential, Ray stated, ‘‘I wouldn’t have a problem with it because it would make sense. Once the story’s over, the story’s over. Now, we’re relying on Cody to carry the company for however long.”
