Cody Rhodes successfully defended his title against a lingering rival in Glasgow during the “I Quit” Match. Right when he was about to exit the arena, he was interrupted by The Bloodline. One by one, each of the three members attacked the Undisputed Universal Champion on the ramp. However, their tyranny did not extend for longer than a few seconds.

Soon after the assault in front of the Scottish crowd, Rhodes was rescued by Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. A short exchange of blows took place between the two sides before The Bloodline eventually gave up. After beating and sending them backstage again, the three babyfaces eventually ended the heated segment by sharing a moment together in which fans cheered for them.

However, there was a minor spot in the meantime that you may have missed. While saving his former teammate, The Viper was spotted eyeing the gold in Cody Rhodes’ arms. As the internet believes so far, this could be a sign that a friends-to-rivals trope may be in the works for the Undisputed Universal Championship.

Randy Orton is not a stranger when it comes to turning on his allies. This is where his moniker exposes his tendencies. Even though he has come back as a changed man, Randy Orton may not fully gain the trust of the fans until this storyline is completely over. And as it appears, Cody Rhodes may be heading into an era of his WWE run where he may have to face several threats back-to-back.

The American Nightmare seems to have laid rest to AJ Styles‘ passion to pursue the Undisputed Universal Championship. He had to quit the match in between when he was too scared to follow through as Cody Rhodes had started getting brutal against him. As discussed before, this may be one of his last PLEs. However, this doesn’t mark the end of the rivalry list for Cody Rhodes.

The former AEW EVP has been threatened again by The Bloodline. So, we know that the tribal stable is still not over their rivalry against the reigning Undisputed Universal Champion. Moreover, as tonight’s spot has teased us, Randy Orton may also be just around the corner to face Cody Rhodes soon. Apart from this, he has also been tipped to lose against Gunther in the future.
