It’s not an easy thing to find your own path in this world. Especially when a world is as big as the pro wrestling industry. Regardless of the struggle, something advised Cody Rhodes to keep on to his quest of finding his place in the pro wrestling world. It took him some time to do so, including his independent circuit and work in AEW, to catch onto this momentum.

And now, even former WWE employees like Eric Bischoff give him credit for the same. According to Bischoff, Rhodes is the only one responsible for bringing himself to the position of a top wrestler.

In the latest episode of his podcast, 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff was talking about a lot of things. By the end of the episode, Jon Alba, who was chatting with Bischoff, suggested that Rhodes is ‘knocking on the John Cena door’. To this, the former WCW personality couldn’t help but agree. In fact, he elaborated on how the person responsible for bringing Cody Rhodes to the top is the wrestler himself.

In 2016, The American Nightmare left WWE because he was not satisfied with the direction the promotion was taking him in. Throwing back his thought to this decision of his, Bischoff commented, “Cody Rhodes made Cody Rhodes the day he quit WWE and stood up for himself and what he believed in.

He praised Cody’s decisions to run an independent circuit, join AEW, and leave it when he no longer believed in the promotion. To this, Bischoff added, “Dusty Rhodes believed in Dusty Rhodes and Cody is so much like Dusty, it’s unbelievable to me.” At last, he closed with an impactful claim, saying, “Whatever Cody Rhodes descends to in the stardom of this industry, he’s earned it himself. Nobody gave it to him.

This journey of The American Nightmare becoming ‘Cody Rhodes’ is what the wrestler also wants the world to see. Hence, he created a documentary on his career and personal life so far. Following the release, he also starred in a couple of interviews to talk about the documentary. He also gave his fans a deeper look into that struggling time of his career through these interviews.
