In-ring segment: Cody Rhodes opened the show to address the events of the last episode. Unlike his usual fashion sense, he wasn’t wearing a suit, which meant he was ready for war ahead of SummerSlam. He spoke about Randy Orton and said he was an important member of the Rhodes family. As Rhodes moved on to Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline 2.0, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory came out. They blamed Rhodes for Fatu attacking them last week and knocked him out of the ring. As Rhodes regained himself, Terrance Crowford handed him a steel chair. Rhodes used it to clear the ring of Waller and Theory.

Backstage segment: Cody Rhodes asked Nick Aldis for a match against Waller and Theory. However, Aldis said he’d allow it if Rhodes found a teammate by the night’s end.

Winner: Andrade

While the match started with Andrade’s strength vs. Carmelo’s speed and agility, it soon became a spot fest. Both men showed off their great in-ring awareness, speed, and agility. Despite being stronger than Hayes, Andrade had issues trying to put Hayes down. However, he was able to do so and pick up the win.

Background segment: Nia Jax and Bayley were interviewed ahead of their match at SummerSlam. While Jax claimed she would be walking out the champion, Bayley claimed she would do everything to stop that from happening. Jax stormed out of the interview.

Background segment: As Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair waited outside Nick Aldis’ office, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven came by. A bit of back and forth later, Belair challenged Green for a match.

Bianca Belair vs. Chelsea Green

Winner: Bianca Belair

This was a very quick match for Belair, who pinned Green within a few minutes of the match starting. Despite trying her best, Green was nothing in front of the EST.

Post-match: Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre interrupted Cargill and Belair’s celebration by challenging them for a shot at their titles.

In-ring segment: Nick Aldis stood in the ring with the SummerSlam Intercontinental Championship match contract. Aldis said that he needed Logan Paul to sign it. LA Knight was introduced who came out. Paul was not far behind, and once out, the two megastars began insulting each other.  Paul accidently called Knight by his real name. Finally, with nothing else to say, Paul agreed to the match.

Video package: WWE fans got a video hype package for MITB Champion Tiffany Stratton ahead of her match.

Tiffany Stratton vs. Mia Yim

Winner: Mia Yim

Stratton looked incredible from the start of the match. With great athleticism, she kept Yim down throughout the match. An Alabama Slam on the outside kept the match in Stratton’s favor. Both women had multiple near falls, and Stratton looked like she was done near the end of the match. However, Bayley showed up and took out Nia Jax with the MITB briefcase. This distraction caused Stratton to lose the match, and Bayley was able to repay Yim for her help last week.

Video package: The Bloodline 2.0 was seen in a video where Solo Sikoa talked about how whoever joined Rhodes in his tag team match would be going against The Bloodline.

Backstage segment: Cody Rhodes was seen getting ready for his match, and his partner was Kevin Owens.

Main Event: Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens vs. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory

Rhodes and Theory started the match before Owens tagged in. The match started slowly, with both teams testing each other out. Ownes’s great energy from the news of his mother recovering well was seen throughout the match. The match was soon in Team Rhodes’ favor. Unfortunately, soon, the tables turned, and the match was in Team A-Town Down Under’s favor. Owens tagged in the American Nightmare, and the crowd popped. A Crossroads to Theory and Ownes and Rhodes won.
