The King and Queen of the Ring quarterfinals continue on WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Fans were excited for the show with names like Randy Orton, Tama Tonga and The Bloodline, Cody Rhodes, Tiffany Stratton, Bianca Belair, and Jade Cargill set to perform. The episode would also see the contract signing for the upcoming King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia. Here are the results for WWE SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown 17/05/2024 Results

Queen of the Ring quarterfinal match: Bianca Belair vs. Tiffany Stratton

Winner: Bianca Belair

A PLE-quality match opened the WWE SmackDown episode. Both women were equally matched and got the fans engaged from the start. After a new near fall, the fans began chanting, “This is awesome.” Despite trying a few dirty moves when the referee was not looking, Stratton wasn’t able to keep the EST down. Belair got the pin to qualify for the next round.

Post-match: After the match, Belair was interviewed about the state of her knee. Stratton focused a lot on the knee, but Belair claimed it wouldn’t be an issue.

Backstage segment: We saw the United States Champion, Logan Paul lock eyes with LA Knight. The two did not exchange words before being broken up by Nick Aldis.

Backstage segment: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill talk about her match and hint at the two facing off next week.

Backstage segment: LA Knight runs into Carmelo Hayes and the two hint at a potential feud. Knight heads off for his match.

Backstage segment: The Bloodline is seen with Solo Sikoa claiming he talks to Roman Reigns every day. This shocked the Wiseman Paul Heyman.

King of the Ring quarterfinal match: Tama Tonga vs. LA Knight

Winner: Tama Tonga

The match started out with both men exchanging blows to see who was better. While Knight did get the upper hand, Sikoa and Tonga Loa were at ringside to remind him that he was surrounded. Despite the distraction, Knight was able to keep the control of the match in his hand but Loa prevented his brother from getting pinned. Unfortunately, Knight was distracted by Siko allowing Tonga to get the pin.

In-ring segment: Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul sit down for the contract signing. Paul reveals he got his own lawyer as he didn’t want his title on the line. With a new contract, the two get into a verbal showdown before it gets physical. Rhodes takes out one of Paul’s security.

Queen of the Ring quarterfinal match: Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax

Winner: Nia Jax via disqualification

While this match was highly anticipated, the match didn’t go as planned. Both women proved their dominance in the ring before taking it to the ringside. While Jax rearranged the chair around, Cargill whacked her with a steel chair. This led to a disqualification, and Jax was announced as the winner. The two continued to brawl as security came out to separate the two.

DIY vs. Legado Del Fantasma

Winner: DIY

The only match unrelated to the storyline was this tag team match. While Ciampa and Gargano displayed great chemistry, Garza and Humberto used dirty tactics. Despite running interference, they were not able to slow down DIY. Elektra Lopez also got involved, taking advantage of the referee’s not looking. However, DIY was able to pick up the win with a Meet in the Middle on Humberto. We also got another QR Code for Uncle Howdy.

Backstage segment: Baylay is seen interviewed only to be interrupted by Chelsea Green. A match is set for next week.

King of the Ring quarterfinal match: Randy Orton vs. Carmelo Hayes

Winner: Randy Orton

The Viper, Randy Orton, took on NXT’s call-up Carmelo Hayes. While Hayes was able to keep the veteran at bay, Vintage Orton was able to get Hayes where he needed him. Taking the match to the outside, Hayes was able to get an advantage, but an RKO later, and Orton advanced in the tournament.

Post-match: The Bloodline came out as Orton will face Tonga in the next level of the tournament in Saudi Arabia. Orton claimed he would win at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE.
