Roman Reigns finally returned to WWE for that ‘huge pop’ that had been waiting for him since his post-WrestleMania XL hiatus. The speculated SummerSlam return finally happened and as exciting as it was for the fans to witness, Cody Rhodes was worried about everything that was supposed to go down during the main event. Not to forget that it was a ‘Bloodline rules’ match, basically meaning that ‘everything goes’. So, Rhodes already knew what could go down during his match. This made him worry about his match against Solo Sikoa and how it may get overlooked.
Cody Rhodes’ ‘story’ came back to life at SummerSlam last weekend. After defeating his biggest WWE rival, Rhodes faced him for the first time in Cleveland. The two shared a moment of silent aggression by staring into each other’s souls. But before any of this went down, he had a chat with Bully Ray where he confessed a legitimate concern.
On the Busted Open Podcast, Ray revealed, “I got a chance to talk to Cody before the match and he was concerned about the match. He wanted the match to truly mean as much as everything else that was going to go on that night because he knew in the back of his head that other things could take precedence.”

Fortunately for Rhodes, his match against Sikoa didn’t get overshadowed despite everything that went down that evening. The two stars didn’t seem to be on the friendliest of terms given their history together. With whatever exchange they could afford during the brief time that Reigns was in the arena, fans are speculating about the future.

The Undisputed Universal Championship can undoubtedly be considered the biggest title on the active WWE roster as of now. However, they can put him back in the game for the title that he lost this year at WrestleMania.
The American Nightmare looked worried when the ‘Original’ Tribal Chief returned to WWE. Although his primary concern at the time seems to be The Bloodline, Reigns whispered something to Cody Rhodes that a fan decoded. Somebody on the internet claimed that despite being inaudible, Reigns’ lips read, “It’s only a matter of time.”

This suggests that we may be getting a Cody vs Roman 2.0 match. However, at the moment, it is the Anoa’i family stable that requires his undivided attention. So, fans must keep an eye out on the blue brand this week as the Head of the Table will most likely be there. Moreover, we could also end up seeing some sort of interaction between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
