Logan Paul vs. Cody Rhodes: Who's the real deal in WWE, and who's just a hype machine?

In an unprecedented move that revolutionized the sports hydration space, WWE closed a sponsorship deal with sports drink powerhouse PRIME Hydration back in March. The energy drink is the brainchild of social media phenomena Logan Paul and KSI. With this strategic alliance, PRIME Hydration became the exclusive official hydration partner of WWE, marking a historic moment for both entities involved. The integration of PRIME into the WWE brand was more than just innovative.

For the first time in WWE history, WWE’s iconic ring featured a sponsor logo right in the center. Ensuring that PRIME Hydration features prominently in some of the most intense and watched moments in sports entertainment. WWE SmackDown also has a PRIME bottle figure right beside the commentary table. In addition to the synergies, WWE superstars were also asked to showcase social media support for PRIME, meaning that some of the most well-known and influential figures in the world of wrestling will support the brand with their considerable social media influence. One of them was Cody Rhodes, who might’ve lost his PRIME sponsorship after he insulted the brand on SmackDown after it went off the air.

The American Nightmare became the first WWE superstar to sign an exclusive sponsorship deal with PRIME Energy back in April. A move that PRIME surely was excited about as they gave out the statement, “Our first WWE Superstar — Welcome to the PRIME family Cody Rhodes,” accompanied by the hashtag “#FinishTheStory.” The happiness was mutual, as Rhodes replied by changing the lyrics of his theme ‘Kingdom’ to fit the brand. He said, “Adrenaline in the soul, adrenaline in the bottle.”

However, it seems like things might’ve turned sour between the two. Or at least that’s what it looks like after a recent clip went viral on social media that shows Cody Rhodes intentionally going out of the ring and flipping over the table containing the energy drinks beside the commentary table.

He surely was aware of what he was doing, as he comes back to the ring and says that he would be losing his PRIME sponsorship with this move.
