Kayfabe is a critical characteristic of pro wrestling. However, all wrestling fans know it’s not feasible to stay in kayfabe all the time. But it doesn’t go unnoticed when wrestlers try to value the continuity of their gimmick. When Cody Rhodes recently made a public appearance outside the arena, he stuck to his kayfabe. And it appears that fans are getting a hang of it.
This happened during the premiere of Rhodes’ documentary, ‘American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes’. Although the event was still connected to the WWE Universe in one way, fans did not expect the wrestler to respect his gimmick even on the red carpet.

The American Nightmare’s rivalry with The Beast Incarnate started after WrestleMania 39 this year. While Rhodes was able to bag the victory for the first time at Backlash, Brock Lesnar got the best of him at the Night of Champions. However, the former wrestler was not seen inside the ring for a long time. But now that the duo was back on track with the rivalry, Rhodes would be able to settle the 1-1 score he was so worried about.
But this satisfaction didn’t come without Rhodes’ broken arm.
During their last encounter on Monday Night Raw, the audience saw Lesnar breaking Rhodes’ arm again. The arm that had healed after their last in-ring battle, is now injured again.
Although it’s bad news for a wrestler who is looking forward to a match at SummerSlam against the 46-year-old ‘Beast’, there is one thing fans seem happy about.

Fans appear satisfied with Rhodes’ decision to continue his ‘kayfabe’ broken arm.
They believe that continuing a story arch, even during a significant public event, is a fun detail to pay attention to.
Cody Rhodes’ actions excite WWE fans and earn him respect
Through The American Nightmare’s actions, we can see that he is looking forward to his match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Rhodes is trying his best to sell the storyline by keeping it alive even while in public. It looks like fans are also taking the hype continuously as Rhodes is trying to sell his upcoming match.

When Lesnar returned to WWE after the NoC, he came in with a vengeful spirit. The Conqueror assaulted Rhodes again to reinjure his arm, which had only healed recently. This also gave him an upper hand prior to their SummerSlam match because focusing on recovery, Cody Rhodes might not be able to train efficiently. And this fan wishes him luck for the rematch against all odds.
The following fans are appreciating the 38-year-old for valuing the storyline continuity. And moreover, for his commitment to the character.
If there’s one thing you can say about Cody he definitely commits lol https://t.co/nZO2S6bSc6
