Cody Rhodes has made several enemies throughout his wrestling career. However, there is one rival that he cannot seem to forget at all, the late great Brodie Lee. On the occasion of the late AEW star’s birthday, Lee seemed to be the highlight of Cody Rhodes’ Instagram account. To show the wrestling world how much he misses him still, The American Nightmare took to Instagram and paid him a tribute in a heartwarming way.

Brodie Lee hasn’t left Cody Rhodes’ heart

Luke Harper passed away on December 26, 2020, following a battle with a rare lung condition, only ten days after his birthday. Three years after his death, Rhodes took to his Instagram to pay tribute to the late WWE Champion.

The Royal Rumble winner of 2023 uploaded two consecutive stories for his old friend. The first picture includes the two wrestlers in the same ring about to face each other while the referee is trying to hold them off. In the second picture, we can see a much more personal side of Brodie Lee where he is sitting, munching on some snacks from Zaxby’s.

Perhaps the reason behind these two pictures is to portray how their relationship was. While they were rivals inside the ring, Rhodes always knew the kind of person Lee was outside the ring.

Cody Rhodes isn’t the only WWE wrestler who has paid tribute to Luke Harper following his unfortunate passing. Seth Rollins also showed his love for the superstar when given the chance last year.
