The WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns is missing from the WWE arena once again with Paul Heyman doing his bidding. However, it seems like The Head of the Table has a lot of people interested in dismantling him at the same time. Interestingly, this also includes his WrestleMania 39 opponent Cody Rhodes.

WWE is suddenly chock full of some of its best wrestlers interested in the WWE Championship. The list carries the names of Dwayne Johnson, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. A recently uploaded social media post showcases Reigns’ Wiseman Paul Heyman trash talk about everyone at once. But, while Heyman praised his Tribal Chief once again, Rhodes has responded with something that may hint at a potential WrestleMania rematch.

Cody Rhodes initiates his journey by responding to Heyman

In a recent episode of WWE SmackDown, themed New Year’s Revolution, Paul Heyman, a member of The Bloodline, addressed Cody Rhodes, The Rock, and CM Punk. Rhodes, who faced Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 last year in an unsuccessful attempt to claim the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, took to social media to respond to Heyman’s comments. The main event of WrestleMania 39 saw Reigns emerging victorious over Rhodes. On Twitter, Rhodes shared his well-known eavesdropping GIF, playfully acknowledging Heyman’s remarks from SmackDown: New Year’s Revolution.

Despite the setback, Rhodes remains determined to complete his narrative, expressing his desire to capture the WWE Championship. As part of this pursuit, Rhodes has officially declared his entry into the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble.

However, WWE legend Bully Ray, discussing the matter on the Busted Open podcast, proposed an alternative path. If Reigns loses his championship, possibly to Randy Orton, Rhodes could then challenge ‘The Viper’ at WrestleMania 40. 

This could provide Rhodes with an opportunity to achieve what his father couldn’t – winning the championship. Ray emphasized that a match between Orton and Rhodes would offer a compelling narrative, considering their shared history, framing it as a ‘Master and Apprentice’ storyline.
