After winning the Royal Rumble for the second straight time this year, Cody Rhodes pointed at Roman Reigns, indicating his intent to challenge for his title. However, this week on RAW, Rollins asked Rhodes to challenge him at WrestleMania instead.

Like Rhodes, fans are also unsure about the opponent Rhodes will choose at WrestleMania. However, a wild fan theory has emerged that features both Reigns and Rollins in the match with Rhodes.

Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes: Triple Threat match for World title unification

The American Nightmare took to X on February 2nd to re-post a fan tweet along with his reaction, “👀”. A fan had earlier tweeted, “Just hear me out… Triple Threat main event on Night 2 of WM40, winner takes home all the gold, winner gets crowned as the face of WWE. Am I cooking or am I COOKING? 👀”

Cody Rhodes recently won the Royal Rumble 2024, marking the 4th instance of a superstar winning the Rumble consecutively after Hogan, HBK, and Austin. With the win, he now has the opportunity to challenge for any top title in the main event of WrestleMania. However, Rhodes has yet to decide after a brief on-screen interaction with Seth Rollins on Monday Night RAW this week.

The wild fan theory suggests WWE re-do a title unification match, like WrestleMania 38 involving Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Interestingly, if the three superstars feud, it may lead to an interesting build-up. Rollins has never defeated Rhodes, Rhodes has never beaten Reigns, while Reigns has never pinned Rollins. 

However, all of this is merely a fan theory as doing another title unification match may nullify the whole purpose behind creating the new WWE World Heavyweight belt. Also, WWE has plans for a Rock vs. Roman Reigns match to headline night 2 of WrestleMania 40.
