WWE has been developing multiple storylines for CM Punk at the same time. Even when the WWE legend was on a hiatus, the promotion kept him involved in interesting twists and spots that would build his story with both Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre at the same time. The Best in the World is almost cleared for a full-fledged match. He has indulged in bits of action in and out of the ring for a while now, revealing that he has pretty much recovered from the injury that caused him to sit at home after the Royal Rumble PLE. With SummerSlam 2024 approaching, there may be a possibility that Punk will face Rollins during the match because of the verbal altercation between the two on last Monday Night Raw. While talking on the Busted Open Podcast, Tommy Dreamer said, “I’m one of the biggest fans of Seth Rollins. [His] character is in [the] ring. How he changes a lot of stuff. CM Punk’s current rivalry was years in the making

The feud that is currently going on between CM Punk and Seth Rollins did not start after the former’s reintroduction to the Stamford-based company. On the contrary, years ago, when Punk had left WWE, he and The Visionary would have an extended feud on social media about the legend’s wrestling run and how he was not worthy of being a part of the wrestling community. This made the two wrestlers take several shots at each other that they may or may not have meant. But this is what WWE planned on utilizing for their ongoing feud.

Now, after all this time, Punk made Seth Rollins lose his only shot at the WHC for a while, causing the two to rekindle the rivalry between them and possibly take on each other at SummerSlam next month.
