According to Dave Meltzer, CM Punk and Seth Rollins dominated the 9:00 PM Eastern quarter-hour, securing the highest viewership after Punk’s sensational Survivor Series return.

UZ Wrestling on X expressed concern, noting WWE’s failure to surpass 2 million views, and posed a question to Meltzer, “Your honest thoughts on what #WWE should do ??” Meltzer was quick enough to give a satisfying reply. 

Meltzer emphasized the segment’s exceptional performance. He said, “Punk segment did great. They were against two NFL games.” The show went on to garner 1.88 million viewers and a 0.62 P18-49 rating. 

Despite facing stiff competition from the Monday Night Football game, WWE’s commercial-free first hour was a proven success. It aimed to entice early viewers and build anticipation for Punk’s much-awaited appearance later in the night. In short, WWE has a good result even after hurdles.
