CM Punk has returned to the ring, as the Best in the World officially revealed on this week’s Raw that he gained medical clearance. This means that he could engage and develop his feud with Drew McIntyre as they clash at the next WWE PLE: SummerSlam. Fans noted several things in the segment, one of which was the hue of Punk’s sneakers.

As you may have noticed during the segment, the former WWE World Champion was wearing pink shoes. Not that the shoes were horrible, but they didn’t match his clothing. So what was his reason for wearing them on this week’s Raw? CM Punk supports a lot of things that are good for other people who are oppressed, and it appears that these colored shoes were one of those things which signifies something else.

The former AEW star donned the shoes to draw attention to the Artfest Color Run, which took place recently in Green Bay. This was a race to support inclusivity through gender identity, and Punk is a firm supporter of it. He has successfully captured everyone’s attention on this matter.

CM Punk’s SummerSlam prospects are bleak

As you are all aware, the highly anticipated match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk will take place at SummerSlam. The match has been in the works since the beginning of the year, and there have been several events that have caused fans to be eagerly anticipating this battle, since there is a lot of excitement around it. Although, throughout the build-up, Seth Rollins became embroiled in the conflict and, later, it seems that he is going to be involved in the match too as a special guest referee.

Punk has strained relationships with both Rollins and McIntyre, which indicates that both men may come after him at SummerSlam. That is not a position that the Best in the World wants to be in since it would be detrimental to him. Although this is not in his advantage, the fans are, and it will be interesting to watch what major things these superstars can accomplish in the ring to pull off a fantastic battle, since there are a lot of expectations on each of them because of how big of stars they are. Fans will have to wait and see what happens to them.
