During Night 2 of WrestleMania XL, we were able to see how Drew McIntyre once again conquered a World Championship in WWE, specifically the World Heavyweight Championship. However, his joy was short-lived as Damian Priest decided to redeem his Money in the Bank briefcase on him, all thanks to the help of CM Punk, who attacked the Scottish Warrior after the latter mocked Punk after his win.

Ever since, McIntyre has been constantly calling out Punk on his promos. But since both superstars are out injured, fans await to see the two share the ring. There were no updates as to when the two superstars could face each other. But finally, McIntyre leaked the timeline of when the two would clash on an off-air segment in SmackDown.

Ever since he became the World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest has only defended that championship once. Which was against Jey Uso at Backlash. With McIntyre’s discharge, we will have the confrontation between the Scotsman and Priest in the next PLE called Clash at the Castle for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Tonight on SmackDown, McIntyre competed in a dark match on SmackDown, where he talked about his upcoming PLE. The Scotsman made a much-awaited announcement during the off-air appearance. As McIntyre revealed when he would face the ‘Chicago Made.’ He said, “When I win the title, I’ll offer him a title match. His ego is so big, he will say ‘yes’ to the title match. Social media will freak out. Tickets will fly. There will be a buzz you’ve never seen. Punk and I will be in this ring. Eye-to-eye with each other. The bell will ring, and then I’ll embarrass him worse than be embarrassed himself in the UFC. And we’ll move on.”

CM Punk was a part of the UFC a few years ago, but he could not make a mark for himself. He had a handful of matches and left many unimpressed with his lack of skills and the number of losses. This led the ‘Voice of the Voiceless’ to quit MMA and make a return to pro wrestling. Now it seems like McIntyre surely wants Punk to have an experience more embarrassing than this UFC run.

Drew McIntyre is now fit to compete after damaging his arm at the hands of The Best in the World. Taking into account Damian Priest’s statements on RAW, Triple H made the headline match in Scotland official. WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 will take place on Saturday, June 15, at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. So it would be interesting to see if McIntyre manages to get the win in his home country.

But could he appear in a different promotion before his Clash at the Castle fight?

Over the last few years, we have seen how WWE has collaborated with TNA on several occasions. Jordynne Grace has been the TNA wrestler who has done the most collaborations with WWE. And her latest appearance took place this Tuesday in NXT. Grace will challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground. After this, Drew McIntyre, a WWE superstar who has been in both companies, hinted through his X account about an upcoming appearance on TNA Impact. He wrote, “The doors open both ways.”

Following Jordynne Grace’s appearance on WWE’s black and gold brand, it was reported that several NXT Superstars could go the other way and appear on TNA. Having an appearance or a fight on TNA can surely help McIntyre remove some ring rust before his big match in his home country. And paying a visit to a former promotion can also help him get more fans behind his back as he faces a man of brute force such as Damian Priest. What do you think? Will McIntyre be able to beat the leader of the Judgment Day? Let us know in the comments.
