After conquering the hearts in the wrestling world, CM Punk has now set out to spread his fanbase over in Hollywood as well. The Cult of Personality will now be featured in a new movie that has the potential to become a ‘cult comedy’. Putting the intended pun aside, fans of the wrestler may want to keep reading along to know more about this project. The Chicago-based talent is not being starred as the main protagonist, and neither has his role been revealed as of yet. However, this seems like an interesting Hollywood break for our much-loved Phil Brooks.
The Best in the World will be featured in Let’s Start a Cult written by Stavros Halkias, Wes Haney, and Ben Kitnick. Fans of Hollywood can expect the film to be a dark comedy and the director at the helm is Ben Kitnick himself. Also, being one of the writers, he will be able to justify the story in the best way possible. Cast members include Eric Rahill, Katy Fullan, and Ethan Suplee, all popular for different Hollywood projects in the past. CM Punk is listed on the poster of the movie as Phil Brooks, an abbreviation of his full real name.

The movie will be released on October 25th, 2024. Unless there is an unforeseen circumstance that interferes with this schedule, you can free your schedule on your calendar to watch the WWE legend on your nearest big screen. According to the director of the film, the basic plot revolves around a man who is such a social outcast that even the members of a cult that he joins cannot keep up with him.

Should we expect more out of CM Punk in Hollywood?
Even when he was out of action because of his tricep injury since January 2024, the Chicago-based wrestler still showed up in WWE regularly to deliver promos and be an integral part of ongoing storylines. This eventually led to him picking up a feud right in the middle of things and not having to start from the beginning. Since he rarely wrestles on weekly shows, CM Punk will probably have some time to give to his Hollywood career.
Even though his role in the movie isn’t yet clear, he might not get a long screen time. But you don’t need to be upset because there’s always a future to look up to. Several weeks ago, Deadline exclusively reported that the former WWE Champion had signed with the talent agency ‘Paradigm’.
