CM Punk Teases Potential Royal Rumble 2024 Entry Number; Regrets It Later

Ever since his WWE return, fans have been waiting for CM Punk to get a big wrestling victory that would restore his reputation as ‘The Best in the World’. So far, we have only seen him taking shots at different talents, trying to build up a story. The first ‘big victory’ that CM Punk can achieve is winning the men’s Royal Rumble event.

This weekend, the majority of the roster will wrestle it out in the battle royale event, with only one man standing in the end. Punk recently uploaded something on his social media that shows his confidence in winning the event.

CM Punk reveals his Royal Rumble entry number

After being absent from the ‘rumbling’ PLE for almost a decade, it seems that CM Punk was excited to update his fans about the sequence at which he will be drawn into the arena. As a result, the ex-AEW star took to his Instagram stories and uploaded a number that seemed abrupt at first but made sense later.

In an attempt to let his fans know of his entrant card number, CM Punk uploaded a story with a pitch-black background with only the number “5” written on the screen.

A few moments later, fans noticed that the wrestler had already deleted the story. This means that the Instagram story probably stood for something significant and the wrestler had to remove it from his social media as soon as possible.

However, many fans had already taken a screenshot of the story by then and uploaded it on other social media platforms to speculate on what it could be. As it turns out, several of them believe that this was Punk’s entrant number of Royal Rumble 2024 that he had to take down due to some company policy.

The confidence that the former UFC fighter portrayed suggests that he could be aware that the chances of winning the men’s Royal Rumble event were greatly in his favor. But is that really the case? Lets explore the possibility.

Could CM Punk win the Royal Rumble event this year?

Last year “The American Nightmare” won his ticket to the WrestleMania main event when he conquered the hearts of fans after winning the Royal Rumble. Fans were speculating that a similar repetition could take place this year as well. But considering how much of a buzz Punk’s return has created, it would make sense to see him as the winner of the upcoming PLE.
