Tonight on Raw, the former AEW star cluelessly dragged the legendary pop icon Taylor Swift before ranting against his arch-nemesis, Drew McIntyre.

The former AEW star laid out the terms for his next encounter with the Scotsman as we head into the next chapter of this deeply personal rivalry. He used an iconic reference that will make him closer to the Swifties’ hearts.

CM Punk’s Taylor Swift connection: Explained

As the entire WWE Universe is inching toward the next big stop in Germany, Punk is seemingly gearing up to settle his score with the Scotsman for the one final time. Before unleashing a big leather bracelet for Mclntyre as a challenge, the former AEW star pulled out a host of bracelets that fans gifted him in the past. The former world champion noted that the bracelets were a Taylor Swift thing, but mocked, saying, ”I’m Taylor Swift for men”. But this is not the first time the Second City Saint made a random Taylor Swift reference whatsoever. In the past, the lady pop star posed with a mini Punk action figure which Punk himself shared on his IG story.

However, Punk also received some uncanny Taylor Swift references from fans during his infamous AEW tenure.

CM Punk and AEW didn’t end things on a harmonious page. Ever since the Second City Saint restarted his wrestling career in the Jacksonville bases promotion, the dark loom of controversy never left him behind. Be it bad-mouthing the locker room bigwigs like Adam Page, Chris Jericho, and Young Bucks or not fully engaging with storyline opportunities due to frequent injuries, Punk’s antics caused worry for Tony Khan. One of the major disputes of Punk’s AEW career was his All-Out media scrum.

During that heated controversy, one fan hilariously drew a parallel between Punk with the protagonist of Taylor Swift’s anti-hero song.
