Ever since his WWE return, fans have been wondering about the brand that CM Punk will pledge his allegiance to. There have been speculations and rumors about him joining either Raw or SmackDown. However, it looks like Punk has put an end to this debate by posting a single picture.

CM Punk favors one brand over the other

“The Best in the World” recently showed up at Friday Night SmackDown. During the episode, he revealed that one of these days, he would finalize the brand that he would finally end up joining. Since he announced this on the blue brand, some fans believed that he would end up joining it next week. But now, we may have another interesting hint.

CM Punk posted a sweet selfie with Bayley on his Instagram story while tagging the Damage CTRL leader. Since she is signed by SmackDown currently, that is where Punk might also be going.

This also suggests that the Chicago-based wrestler could turn out to be an outside ally to the heel faction that Bayley leads. In this manner, Punk would be able to benefit from the help that they offer him, too, making him a dangerous heel in the promotion.

However, since as of now, his allegiance is not yet confirmed, we need to explore both possibilities of CM Punk’s landing. After speculating about his plausible SmackDown contract, let’s see what hints point toward the former WWE Champion’s signing with Monday Night Raw.

Could CM Punk sign with Raw instead?

One major hint pointing toward CM Punk’s signing with Monday Night Raw is his ‘rival in the making’. If you haven’t guessed it yet, we are talking about Seth Rollins. The two have been engaged in a real-life feud for several years. Even though this conflict between the top stars never came to a conclusion, it looks like WWE is all set to monetize it now.

First, “The Visionary” showed CM Punk how much he hated his return to WWE. Then, the latter added fuel to the fire by dissing him during his SmackDown appearance.

Punk didn’t let his real-life rival get away with his dislike for him that easily. Instead, he took the opportunity to call him out during a live weekly show.

Since the WHC is already signed to the red brand, we can assume that perhaps the promotion is going to send the 45-year-old there to continue their feud.
