The rivalry between CM Punk and the Scottish Warrior has continued to take leaps and bounds in recent days. After Punk cost Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship match in front of the Scottish crowd last Saturday, McIntyre “quit” WWE on Monday on RAW. However, revenge was near.

This Friday, on WWE SmackDown, The Cult of Personality returned to television in front of none other than his hometown, Chicago. Punk had a segment with Paul Heyman, was confronted by The Bloodline, and was subsequently saved by Cody Rhodes. But this wasn’t going to end here.

Minutes later, Drew McIntyre appeared by surprise and brutally attacked CM Punk in the parking lot. After this, the Scotsman carried Punk, who was bleeding, to the stage area, where the entire Chicago audience saw their idol destroyed. And then it was announced that CM Punk had been immediately taken to the hospital. So there is no way that we will get to see the WWE superstar anytime soon, right?

Well, that’s the twist. It seems like the superstar has already recovered after being discharged from the hospital’s emergency unit.

After tonight’s edition of the Blue brand came to an end, everyone wondered about the fate of CM Punk. The Cult of Personality already had to take months off from the ring due to torn triceps. And now, after this attack, fans are worried that we won’t get to see him for a few more weeks. Little did they know that they would get to see Punk completely fine, driving out of the arena in his wagon. As spotted in footage released on X by @FadeAwayMedia.

See, we told you he was fine and doing well. It took less than 3 hours for the WWE superstar to be able to drive again. This breaking of Kayfabe injuries would surely disappoint WWE fans, as they love the idea of playing make-believe. And like the Undertaker, it couldn’t have harmed Punk to take Kayfabe a bit more seriously and ask for a lift from some other superstar for the night.

This moment completely went against the narrative set by the WWE. Instead of Punk being in the emergency room of the hospital, he is being spotted in the background of the Allstate Arena. And now that the video is going viral, it would be interesting to see how the WWE manages to spin a story around it to cover the loophole. But for now, Drew McIntyre manages to get revenge on Punk and thus vent his accumulated rage. However, the war is not close to ending, and the two are scheduled to meet soon. Possibly at SummerSlam. So what do you think of the video? Did it disappoint you as well? Let us know in the comments.
