Can Drew McIntyre finally silence CM Punk, or will Punk prove he's still the best?

The 2024 edition of WWE SummerSlam featured a match that everyone had been waiting for. The long rivalry that began in January between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre finally culminated in a match. And in the end, it was Drew McIntyre who defeated CM Punk and stood tall in front of the Cleveland crowd. Seth Rollins served as the special referee of the fight and had a lot to do with the outcome.

The Visionary was always in the middle of disputes and had problems with both fighters, mostly with CM Punk. In the final moments, Seth Rollins donned the bracelet of CM Punk’s dog, Larry, an object that Drew McIntyre took out at one point. Punk reproached Rollins for this, and the two confronted each other.

CM Punk applied the GTS to Rollins. Then he got close to McIntyre but took a low blow instead. McIntyre then finished Punk with the Claymore to take the victory by the count of three. This surely was a high-intensity match; however, the ending surely left a lot to be desired.

Thus, fans can witness the two fight with no other superstars present around them. However, according to McIntyre, it’s all over.

Following SummerSlam, McIntyre spoke about the state of his feud with Punk.
