CM Punk had what was coming his way at SummerSlam 2024. Drew McIntyre finally faced him after a long waiting period and got what he wanted. However, this didn’t mark the end of their feud because The Best in the World attacked McIntyre on Raw 08/12 out of nowhere. The reason was that the Scottish wrestler continued talking trash about Punk’s wife and dog.
This feud cannot go on forever because both stars need to move on to better things in their career and achieve new heights. Keeping this in mind, former WWE star Nic Nemeth revealed where he thinks the climax could take place.

Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, sat down with Bully Ray to discuss the 8/12 episode of Monday Night Raw. During one spot, McIntyre outlined his desire to go after the reigning World Heavyweight Champion and his new challenger. However, CM Punk surprised him by attacking him from behind. In a fit of rage, The Scottish Warrior removed his belt to hit the Second City Saint but the situation turned upside down.
According to Nemeth, this was probably foreshadowing their upcoming match. He revealed,“I think they’re going to a strap match. This will do it. This will end a feud. You know this ends blood feuds all the time.” He thinks that after going through so much pain, at least one of them would have to endure heartbreak to move on to greener pastures.
Earlier, WrestlePurists also reported that according to multiple sources, WWE may be planning to have a ‘strap match’ between Punk and McIntyre at the Bash in Berlin PLE.

The PLE will take place on the 31st of August in, you guessed it, Berlin, Germany. So, if the TNA World Heavyweight Champion’s opinion and the reports are true, then that might be their last match against each other.

What could be the outcome this time around?
Will the Second City Saint win the rematch?
The closest PLE is slightly more than two weeks away. So, it would make sense that we see the two face each other only in Berlin and not during a weekly episode. Irrespective of the match date, their confrontation every week is imminent since the two talents can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. The first time around, McIntyre ended up winning the match even though it was the returning match of the Chicago-based wrestler. Although Seth Rollins played a major part in the loss, the result has made some fans very unhappy. So, to level the field again, WWE may try to book CM Punk to win this time around.

This would make sense considering that this is going to be a brutal rematch and the viewers wouldn’t want to see the WWE legend lose it this time around. McIntyre has already gotten his revenge and now it is time for Punk to finish his motive and teach the Scottish wrestler a lesson to keep his wife and dog’s name out of his mouth. If it’s a strap match, then the Scotsman also has plenty of experience to present a challenge to the Best in the World. Either way, the Bash in Berlin match appears to be setting up really well.
