The GO-Home edition of WWE Monday Night Raw went live tonight from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, highlighting all the latest teases and updates on the upcoming Royal Rumble event. The special night has largely been expected to bring out a lot of stellar segments to the table to set the tone for the PLE. And guess what, it lived up to the hope to the fullest.

From bringing back the age-old HulkMania fever to a jaw-dropping Cody-Punk segment, the showdown kept the crowd on their edges till the last.

Seth Rollins ushered in the show on an emotional note. He graced the ring, stepping in on a bright velvet lime-green suit and a knee brace. After receiving warm ”Thank you, Seth!” chants from the crowd, The Visionary broke hearts announcing the severity of his injury. A Grade 2 MCL tear and a partially torn medial meniscus could mean that the World Heavyweight champion misses out on WrestleMania 40.

Gunther interrupted shortly, leading to an intriguing segment between them. They both highlighted their intention to face each other and reminded their opposition of the prowess.

It further escalated when The New Day jumped IMPERIUM as part of a heated brawl. The grudge match ended up in a double countout that suggests a possible continuation in the near future. Xavier Woods deserves a special mention for operating at an ultra-efficiency level, teasing a fireman’s carry through a table.

Ivy Nile and Valhalla competed in an exceptionally short-lived match with the former getting the upper hand through her flying Pitbul.

In a backstage promo, Kingston issued a challenge to GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship next week on Raw after having a back-and-forth with Jey Uso and Xavier Woods.

The three top women, Nia Jax, Becky Lynch, and Bayley engulfed themselves in an intense brawl next, building heat for the big Royal Rumble battle. Jax emerged triumphant to end the segment.

The Miz faced off against Dominik Mysterio but couldn’t survive as Finn Balor came to DomDom’s save, allowing him to hit the 619 and the frog splash for the win.

WWE continued to make R Truth leisure focused on his aim to win over the Judgement Day members.

Ivar and Chad Gable came out next to compete in a simple but effective match. After going back and forth for some time, Ivar dropped Gable on top of his head and hit a Doomsault for the win. Thanks to a wise interference from Valhalla.

Cody Rhodes- CM Punk set the stage on fire through their top-tier face-to-face segment. The highly hyped-up segments saw a lot of barbs being exchanged including Punk claiming to finish the story before Rhodes. After a lot of verbal attacks and counterattacks, The American Nightmare bumped shoulders with CM Punk to end the segment. Fans rallied behind both the fiery men as they outlined their intentions.

Baszler And Stark defeated Hartwell And LeRae in a quite short match.

Drew Mclntyre claimed a victory over Damian Priest through unexpected assistance from R Truth. Fans were much more behind McIntyre than the Judgment Day member. The Scotsman scored the decisive win by delivering the Claymore after Truth unintentionally distracted Priest.

The main cynosure of the WWE Raw show had to be Hulk Hogan’s special featured video where the legend teased a grand Royal Rumble return. The night closed off with the boiling excitement for the next Saturday’s extravaganza.
