Citing His Own Separation With Dany Garcia, Dwayne Johnson Once Shared His Own Positive Secret That Would Not Make a Divorce “Ugly”

Dwayne Johnson may have not found the love of his life in his ex-wife, Danny Garcia, but he found a solid business partner. Although The Rock is one of the most hard-working people on the planet, much credit for his success goes to Danny Garcia. It’s like that old adage, behind a successful man, there is a woman. Despite their divorce in 2008, Johnson and Garcia proved that their relationship went beyond marriage. 

Aside from being the mother of Johnson’s baby girl, Simone, Danny is his business advisor and manager. That said, The Rock once revealed the secret to avoiding an “ugly” divorce. 

Dwayne Johnson shares why his divorce wasn’t ugly

Dwayne Johnson and Danny Garcia said “I do” to each other in 1997. At the time, The Rock was one of the front runners of WWE’s Attitude Era. The couple then had one daughter from their wedlock. However, in 2008, Johnson and Garcia decided to separate amicably. 

Generally, divorces are difficult for both partners. But Johnson claims that his separation from Garcia was far from ugly. And over the years, the former couple has substantiated how they could make it work together in business. 

During an Interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2020, Dwayne Johnson expressed his gratefulness for the “mamas of his baby girls”. As noted, The Rock has one daughter from his marriage with Danny and two daughters from his marriage with Lauren Hashian. 

While speaking further, Dwayne Johnson revealed how one could learn to take divorce positively. He said, “the marriage didn’t work out. It was just one of those things where it wasn’t an ugly divorce, it was just, marriage wasn’t in our cards. Great friends, marriage wasn’t in our cards.”

He further added that he and Danny recognized that they make a strong business team. And they were right. Johnson and Garcia own multiple businesses together. He continued, “We both had an appetite for business and to accomplish things and we thought ‘well what if we continued to do business together and do you think we can?’ and it felt like it was like we could make something happen and we did so”.

Together, Garcia and Johnson are founders of The Seven Bucks Productions, XFL, Teremana Tequila, and many other businesses. Despite parting ways, Johnson and Garcia knew how to help each other out and make millions together. Nevertheless, Danny Garcia played a major role in helping Johnson excel in business. And he wasn’t the only one who sought her help.

Danny Garcia helped Henry Cavill reach superstardom 

Henry Cavill’s Hollywood career took off when he landed major roles like Superman in DCEU, Sherlock Holmes in Enola Holmes, ‘Geralt of Rivia’ in The Witcher, and many other films and TV series. However, much like Dwayne Johnson, Cavill’s major success in Hollywood came after he hired Danny Garcia as his new manager.

The duo got associated in 2016. It should be noted that the 40-year-old British actor landed the role of Superman in DCEU after he joined hands with Danny Garcia. However, in 2022, Cavill decided to stop doing business with Garcia. This came months before Cavill got the axe from DCEU.
