Very few female athletes have found extreme success in WWE. Under Vince McMahon, most were seen as mere eye candies. After recently much has changed, and it now involves men and female superstars being treated equally. Under Triple H however, several female WWE superstars have emerged, such as Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch.
Both Lynch and Flair are two of the most popular women athletes in WWE today. However, Flair has something else, that Becky failed to have. Flair is a 14-time world champion and is the woman with the highest number of championship reigns, much like her father.

At the final SmackDown of 2022, Flair returned and challenged Ronda Rousey to a match. Rousey however gave in to her ego and accepted the challenge. ‘Rowdy’ easily succumbed to Flair and lost the title.
After her win, Flair went backstage and got caught up in an interview. During this segment, she stated how 2022 has been her best year and gave in the reasons for it as well. She began by stating that she was “speechless”. After this, she stated how it has been the best year of her life.

She described the moments like wrestling in Saudi Arabia, beating Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania and getting married. She said, “Then I got married, traveled the world with my husband, and ending the year where I belong, where I’m home, it was a picture-perfect fairy-tale.”
Flair mentioned five moments which made her year like a fairy tale. Reportedly, her fairy tale moments were wrestling in Saudi Arabia, defeating Rousey at WrestleMania 38, marrying Andrade El Idolo, traveling the world with her husband, and ending the year in WWE.
Prior to her absence from WWE, Flair had lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Rousey, and now she avenged it.
Was Charlotte Flair not supposed to win the WWE SmackDown women’s Championship last night?
The Queen’s return to WWE shocked and amazed the fans. As her music hit, the crowd went crazy, and the pop was unreal. A similar crowd reaction was heard when John Cena made his return during the main event to team up with Kevin Owens and face Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
Flair returned to WWE after an absence of seven months. She returned and challenged ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ for her title, which she accepted. Flair would go on to win the title and defeat Rousey in the process. However, the news of Flair winning the title was kept extremely quiet by the WWE officials.

Internal information revealed that they were unaware of Flair’s return. And the word of her winning only got out a few minutes after the show went on air. However, it turned out to be a good decision since the fans had started hating Ronda Rousey.
