Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair will face each other for the WWE SmackDown Women’s title in less than a month. Following Ronda’s WWE return, Flair and Rousey have been involved in heated altercations on WWE SmackDown.

But during a recent interview with Hot 97, Charlotte Flair showered praise on Ronda Rousey. She talked about Rousey’s first WWE run and compared her to WWE legend Kurt Angle.

‘The Queen’ claimed Ronda Rousey earned her respect following her first WWE run.

Charlotte said, “She faced The Bellas, Nia Jax, myself, Alexa Bliss. She performed with many different opponents at a high level. That does not mean you necessarily have the best chemistry with everyone. But I think she went out there and she reminded me of Kurt Angle.”

“She picked it up so quickly. It is all about the instinct and she has the instinct,” Flair added.

Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle also shared the ring at The Grandest Stage of Them All in 2018. At WrestleMania 34, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle defeated Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag team match.

Notably, that was Ronda Rousey’s first match in WWE. And later on, she competed in several matches and even won the WWE Raw Women’s Champion during her first spell in the company.

Charlotte Flair recalls her 2018 Survivor Series match against Ronda Rousey ahead of WrestleMania 38

WrestleMania 38 won’t be the first time that Charlotte Flair will battle The Baddest Woman on the Planet in a one-on-one contest. At the 2018 Survivor Series Premium Live Event, Ronda and Charlotte faced each other for the first time.

Recalling her 2018 Survivor Series match against Rousey during the interview, Charlotte Flair said, “We had no build. We had no story. It was a last-minute thing. I think we went out there and killed it.”

The SmackDown Women’s Champion further added their 2018 Survivor Series match gave a taste of what Ronda Rousey and she are capable of.
