The Queen Charlotte Flair is making sporadic appearances on the WWE roster these days. After finishing her previous major feud against Asuka and Bianca Belair, she took some time off before returning to TV programming. However, not much has been going on for Flair at SmackDown now.

On the recent episode of SmackDown show that took place at Desert Diamond Arena, Glendale, Flair rekindled her old rivalry against the 34-year-old star. Interestingly, this rivalry goes back to Flair’s NXT days.   

Charlotte Flair is in the mood to punch Bayley

WWE Superstar and 14-time World Champion Charlotte Flair, has hinted at a potential feud against a former rival through her tweet on X. In a tweet posted on September 23rd, Flair wrote the caption, “Mood” with a picture of Flair punching Bayley at the ringside.

The picture is from a moment during this week’s SmackDown when the WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky defended her title against former Champion Asuka. This was Asuka’s first match against Iyo Sky after her defeat at SummerSlam. Former Champion Flair was also a part of the triple threat match which was won by Belair before Sky cashed in her MITB contract.

Charlotte Flair came down to the stage at the beginning of the match and sat in the commentary box. She moved to the other section of the stage during the closing moments when Bayley helped Sky break out from Asuka’s lock-through rope break. It triggered Flair to punch Bayley before Sky finished the match with her signature moonsault.

However, Flair’s post might indicate that she is signaling another feud to continue her rivalry against one of the four horsewomen. As of now, both Bayley and Flair are without any major ongoing storyline. So, it might be a good option to pit them against each other to continue their rivalry considering Bayley recovers quickly from her knee injury.

Flair vs. Bayley: Time to rekindle an old rivalry?

The rivalry between Flair and Bayley is probably not as famous as Flair vs. Lynch or Flair vs. Banks. But since Banks is gone and Lynch is busy with her NXT title, it is a perfect time to rekindle their rivalry.

The two have feuded multiple times throughout their journey from NXT to the main roster. Could WWE revisit the old rivalry to ignite interest in the Women’s division?
