After watching Fast X there is excitement among the fans for the next part which will extend the story. However, another reason why fans are excited about this film is because of the return of Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs. Recently Vin Diesel himself indirectly addressed The Rock’s cameo in the movie.

Recently, Entertainment Tonight’s Matt Cohen talked with Vin Diesel at the Fast X star’s block party for Charlize Theron’s Africa Outreach project in Los Angeles. Cohen quickly asked the 55-year-old for his reaction to Johnson’s cameo at the end of the film.

It seems The Rock and Vin Diesel’s feud has not totally resolved yet, even after this cameo. Hence, the Hollywood star indirectly addressed the return of Luke Hobbs to the main timeline.

“We have such a great cast. We lead with love,” the Fast X actor said, addressing The Rock’s cameo. Further Diesel added, “We try to create an environment where people can try to their best work.”

The 55-year-old also said, “That’s all actors really want, is to feel as though they’re supported to create unique characters. Characters that last forever and you see that in this franchise.” The People’s Champion joined the franchise in 2011 as Luke Hobbs in Fast Five. Fans all around the world loved this character, and this role gave him a boost in Hollywood, too.

However, tensions started arising in 2016 during the filming of the eighth installment.

In 2021, DJ stated there was “no chance” of him returning to the Fast and Furious movies. He also called Diesel “manipulative” for publicly asking him to return for the tenth part by mentioning the late Paul Walker’s name.

Nevertheless, it seems the franchise and DJ are on the same page for now. Apart from Diesel co-star Michelle Rodriguez also shared her view on The Rock’s cameo.
