Chad Gable’s Tony Khan Reason for Re-Signing With WWE Reportedly Revealed

Chad Gable is one of WWE’s most skilled wrestlers. His supporters are overjoyed that the man has re-signed a contract with WWE. There was considerable anticipation that he might join AEW rather than re-sign with WWE, but that did not happen. The reason for Gable making that major decision has come to light.

WWE has done an excellent job of promoting Chad Gable this year. He presents a fascinating persona with his faction Alpha Academy and is part of an exciting program alongside current Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn. As Dave Meltzer recently revealed, the storyline with the Alpha Academy was the reason Gable did not want to quit WWE.

According to Meltzer, WWE has treated the Alpha Academy leader well and provided him with a lucrative deal, which is why he wants to stay with the Stamford-based company. Meltzer also likened the Gable situation to that of Ricochet and claimed that Ricochet would be presented well if he went to AEW, but Gable was already getting presented well at WWE.

Dave Meltzer stated, “I would have figured he was gonna re-sign. He’s getting the best push of his career, he got a great contract offer. There’s no certainties elsewhere. It’s not like it’s Ricochet who probably is gonna do better in AEW than he did in WWE, financially and from a push standpoint. Whereas with Gable… he might, they might respect him because he’s such a freakin’ awesome wrestler, and he might get in there in the higher mix and work with the Okada-type guys….. But probably not.”

Despite the stellar storyline progression, the Raw star yet again tasted defeat to Zayn as he came up short in his Intercontinental championship pursuit. The Alpha Academy leader has embraced the dark side to achieve his goals. Moreover, he doesn’t care at what cost success could come knocking on his doorstep. This could signal the end of days for the Alpha Academy

Is Alpha Academy going to break up soon because of Chad Gable?

Sami Zayn successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship at Clash at The Castle, but it mainly happened because Chad Gable was distracted. Gable delivered an accidental blow to Maxxine Dupri which infuriated Otis who decided to leave his leader left wanting. Moreover, Otis abandoned the Alpha Academy leader to fend for himself as he carried the injured star to the back.

The implosion of The Alpha Academy star looks likely. All the cards in the deck need to fall in place for members of the Alpha Academy to undergo a drastic transformation. This would dictate the futures of Otis, Maxxine Dupri, Akira Torzawa and Gable as they traverse through greener pastures in their WWE careers. Time will weave the narrative that the WWE has set up. One thing is for sure. Chad Gable is set to enjoy a fruitful run with the WWE as evidenced by his new lucrative deal.
