What will the Rey Mysterio show be all about?

Rey Mysterio vs. La Oscuridad is based on Oscar, a wrestling fan who will team up with Mysterio. The team will battle supernatural beings and fight against the forces of evil, villains from the world of wrestling, and characters from Mexican traditions and the world of fantasy.

Behind these opponents is another character called Uroboros. He is an evil fighter who uses dark forces that he does not fully understand. Rey and Oscar will work together and defend the city and themselves from him.

The Lucha veteran on his Twitter reacted to the news and said, ‘619 now beyond wrestling.’

During the YouTube Live, the VP of Content & Original Production, Jaime Jiménez Rión, had a few words to share about the series.

We are confident that Cartoon Network and Rey Mysterio fans will enjoy the surprises we have in store for them, and the show will meet their expectations,”

Subsequently, the founder of the studio producing the show said, “It’s great how it puts Mexico and Lucha Libre at the center, and the fact that it stars Rey Mysterio, whom we have admired since we were kids, is out of this world.“[animationmagazine.net]
